PROCESS AND PRICING
So you want to book one of our artists for your project? Every illustrator has their own unique process, and every illustration will come with its own price point and time frame for completion, so exact procedures and pricing will have to be discussed directly with the illustrator. However, to give you a general idea on pricing, most novels start at around $500 and can go up from there depending on complexity.

HOW IT WORKS
Step 1: Send an email to designunlikely@mailbox.org with the general scope of work and the artist you'd like to potentially book. We will then forward the information to them and they will make contact with you to further discuss. If they're unable to take on your project, you can email us again for another artist's info, but we only provide info for one artist at a time.
Step 2: Once you've structured a deal with the artist, they will take over the project and you will pay and communicate directly with them. That's it!

CHRISTINE
Christine specializes in illustrations for books and games. Her works are expressive and colorful, and although most are fantasy-themed, there is always a touch of realism to be found to bring the story closer to the viewer. But most of all, she loves stories; listening, reading, writing, painting and sharing them with others. Christine believes the stories we experience through art can change us and connect us through time and seemingly irreconcilable differences, and she hopes to be able to tell new stories every day.
What clients are saying about Christine:"Christine is an excellent communicator. Everything was very professional and prompt, and she kept the process moving along with consistent updates. She was very responsive to the bits of feedback that I had during the sketching and revision process, and her work was consistently way beyond my expectations. She's also very knowledgeable about fantasy topics and visuals, so that I didn't have to spend pages describing what a Tiefling or a Druid was - she just knew and BAM it was done!" - Jason Rydl"I NEVER thought it would be this easy to work with an artist. Christine's enthusiasm and dedication is amazing. It's worth the money to pay someone that has professionalism." - William Thomas"I've really enjoyed working with Christine. Her natural talent and passion for stories makes her an ideal choice for artwork. You can be sure that every project she's contracted on she will deliver to her fullest ability." - Danny Hankner, Editor-in-chief of Story Unlikely.Book Christine now!
Terms
We're going to leave this page up but only accessible to our illustrators as an easy reference to our terms and agreements:
By agreeing to be a part of the Design Unlikely Team, you agree to allow us to use all illustrations on our website, watermark free. We will create a separate page for each artist that prospective buyers can view and then request your information. In exchange for providing clients, we ask $100 of every novel project contracted, or 20% of any illustrations that are not for novel cover art, if the contracted amount is less than $500. At this time, we are not collecting the amount, but will use this as credit for future illustrations.Residuals: any artwork contracted at a later date (after initial project) with a client acquired by Design Unlikely, we ask that 5% of that cost goes back to us, once again as credit. This goes for any referrals from clients that came from Design Unlikely as well. Please keep us informed when these jobs take place. This is largely a system built on trust, and though we do not anticipate any issues with our illustrators, as all have been vetted and used previously for Story Unlikely, we can remove an illustrator from our list at any time if they violate our terms or are not taking care of our customers or our own design needs.
